The Loop Snapshot Report

The Loop Snapshot report makes it possible to see the resulting loop that will be generated and used by the Broadsign Players assigned to a display unit broken down by loop iteration of each frame.

To generate the incident report, use one of the following methods:

    • Go to the Schedules ribbon, and then select the Loop Snapshot icon.

A sample loop snapshot report
The report is first broken down by frames and second by loop iteration. For each frame in the display unit, the loop policy and loop policy duration is listed. For each loop iteration within the current Frame, the amount of filler slots available and used is shown. The number of filler slots available consists of the number of slots that would fit in a completely empty loop, while the number used is the actual amount that is being inserted by the player in the loop iteration below. If the loop policy does not have any loop policy schedules assigned to it, this number will always be zero. The next value, Expected Duration, is an estimate of the total duration of the loop. This value is an estimate and not necessarily absolute due to factors such as ad copies being shorter than the slots they are scheduled to, or bundles using slot duration override.

Underneath this is a listing of the playlist for the current loop iteration. Each playlist item is listed with its associated campaign, the category assigned to the bundle, the loop segment assigned to the bundle, the slot type (“Reserved” if the bundle is in the playlist due to a campaign schedule; “Filler” if the bundle is in the playlist due to a loop policy schedule) and an estimate for the expected duration of that bundle. This last value is an estimate for the same reasons enumerated earlier in this paragraph about the expected loop duration.

The Customer Name column of the report can be “(None)”. This column shows the customer that is tied to the bundle (not the ad copy) that is scheduled. If the customer name is “(None)”, this indicates that the bundle is not associated with any customer in particular, as is the case with filler content.

To generate the batch loop snapshot report, go to the Schedules ribbon, select the small arrow in the lower-right of the Loop Snapshot icon, and then select Batch Loop Snapshot.
