Approving Digital Content

Content Approval allows users to ask for the approval of digital content, usually from Site owners, before posting a Creative on their Site. One Content Approval contact can be set per Site.

  1. Within Splash, click the Assets menu item.

    2. If you viewed Sites recently, they might be in the recently viewed entries beneath the Sites tile.

  2. Click the Sites tile.

  3. Click the Site for which you wish to add a Content Approval contact.

    4. The Site record opens on the Basic Info tab.

  4. Click the Contacts tab in the navigation bar on the left.

  5. Link the contact that you want to use for content approval by clicking the icon.

    6. This presents a filter search screen for available contacts.

    Note: Make sure that the contact has a valid email address.

  6. Choose the contact to link by selecting the check box next to it, then click the Link button.

  7. Click the button to edit the Contact Type, and select Content Approval.

  8. Click Save Changes.

Once the Content Approval Contact is set, Users need to select Faces from this Site for which it is required.

To select a Face belonging to the Site:

  1. In Splash click Assets, and then Faces.

    2. This presents a filter search window.

  2. Enter the search terms needed to locate the face to which trigger copy approval.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click the needed result.

    5. This opens the face record.

  5. In Basic Info tab of the Face, click the button.
  6. At the Notes level, tick the Is copy approval required? box and save changes to confirm.

In a Campaign where the Face that requires Content Approval is booked, a few steps are needed before requesting content:

  • Add a Design to the Campaign
  • Schedule Content for the Face
  • Set the Campaign Status to Contracted

Note: Those steps are part of Campaign scheduling workflows, which is why this workflow will only summarize them quickly.

To request content approval:

  1. Add a Design: In the Designs tab, click the button to add a Creative to the Campaigns. Select a file and click Save Changes to confirm.

  2. Scheduling content is available as soon as the Campaign is contracted. In the Segments tab, at the Booking level, click the icon:

  3. You can change the Campaign Status by clicking the icon, and then .
  4. Request content approval clicking the icon, and then Request Content Approval.

    5. The System will display the contact detail of the Content Approval contact that you have set up at the Site level (see Assign a Content Approval Contact to a Site).

  5. Select the contact and click Yes to confirm the email request.

    6. The email received by the Site Owner will look like the following:

    Note: Users can modify the email before sending it over.

    The Site Owner will be able to click on the link and access the Design to be approved.

    Site Owners can either Approve or Reject it and give Rejection reasons if necessary.

    Once the email has been sent, you can see the status of the customer Approval in the Design itself, by clicking the Designs tab.

  6. Click the Designs tab in the navigation bar on the left.

  7. Click the Creative URL link to access its information page.

  8. At the Creative level, click the Content Approval Requests tab.
