Deprovision a Device

Deprovisioning is the process of removing the device. Usually, this process is used when the device in service is broken or moved to a different customer.

This process involves the following:

  • Removing the device from the signageOS interface.
  • Retiring the corresponding player from Broadsign Control Administrator.

You must first deprovision the device in the signageOS interface. The procedure is described in the How to Deprovision device page in the signageOS documentation.

Retiring a player in Broadsign Control Administrator will permanently deactivate the player.

To retire a player:

  1. Open Broadsign Control Administrator.
  2. From the resource tabs on the left, select Players.
  3. Locate the player to retire and right-click it, then select Edit Player in the menu that is displayed.

    4. The Player Properties window is displayed.

  4. In the General tab, click the Retire button.

  5. Click OK.
