Void and Delete a Segment
Voiding a segment is necessary when a booked campaign needs to be canceled after the design has been posted. It's important to understand the implications of voiding a segment and the distinctions between deleting and voiding.
Deleting vs. Voiding
- Deleting a segment is possible only when a campaign is still in the proposal stage or when designs haven't been posted for campaigns already underway. Deleting a segment in these scenarios has no financial impact, except for the potential loss of any additional revenue or fees associated with the segment.
- Voiding a segment becomes necessary when a Face has already been posted and the segment needs to be canceled. This action is analogous to canceling an entire campaign.
Key Considerations for Voiding Segments
- Irreversibility – Once a segment is voided, it cannot be undone. This action is permanent.
- Edit Restrictions – Similar to canceled campaigns, voided segments cannot be edited.
- Necessity – Voiding a segment is only required when canceling a segment where the design has already been posted.
By understanding the distinction between deleting and voiding segments, chartists can effectively manage campaigns and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Voiding Within Campaigns
Chartists can void single faces within segments. This allows them to rebook those faces in other campaigns.
