Face Positions
In many cases, faces are near to one another or even within line of sight of one another.
Broadsign Ayuda users may be familiar with the features (see below) preventing advertisements from competing firms from running one after the other. For example, designs from two auto manufacturers or two hotel companies.
But how to prevent competing designs from appearing on faces positioned close to one another? Perhaps even within line of sight?
The face record can make note of the geographic position between faces. For example, below is a drawing of an example site with four faces in two sites.
Faces do not have to be within the same site or network to have positional relationships.
What Happens if there is a Conflict between Designs and Face Positions?
For campaigns being created manually by chartist and digital schedulers, warnings will appear.
Similar Features
- Advertiser Category Restrictions – Applied to the segment but it can also be applied to the face (within the face record, select the Advertising Restrictions tab.)
- Separations Restrictions – Applied in Booking Lines
Do not confuse Positions with Separations and Category Restrictions. Separations Restrictions are used to prevent similar, competing content from running one after the other. Category restrictions are used to prevent specific content designs or bundles from being sold at some locations. For example, faces near schools may have restrictions on tobacco and alcohol advertisements.
Is Direction the Same Thing as Position?
No. Direction indicates what direction the face points: This is configured in the Face Record's Basic Info tab.
For campaigns being created by hand, chartists and digital schedulers will have to ensure that their selections match the contract expectations.
Positions Versus Related Faces
Positions make note the geographic relationships between two static or digital faces. Related faces are for virtual faces within a digital face.
Note: Category is a general label to add detail to advertisers, agencies, sites and media records. For example for media these might be given the categories apparel, retail or insurance. Site categories may be digital, static or transit. Do not confuse these with Separations Category. Separations Category is feature in booking lines to keep ads from competing companies from running adjacent to one another.
