Loop Properties

Loops

Loops are templates for managing how many spots play on a digital face and their order.

Once created by a Broadsign Ayuda administrator, the Loop template must be assigned to digital faces. Multiple loop templates may exist, allowing for different loop properties during dayparts such as morning, rush hour, evening or weekends.

When the digital scheduler assigns a spot to a particular time of day, the correct loop for that daypart is chosen automatically.

The same loop can be used on many faces.

Loop Templates Determine

Parameter Description
Loop Length The maximum length of the loop. If it is not fully sold, fillers may be used to extend it to that length.
Allow Overbooking

If enabled, it is possible to sell the Digital Face even when the entire Loop Length is already sold. Overbooking may trigger a warning or require special permissions to perform.

Note: Allow overbooking cannot be activated on the fly. It can only be turned on when a loop template is created.

Fixed Spot Length

Every spot in the Loop must have the same Spot Length.

Note: Fix Spot Length can have an impact on avails searches. For example, if Fixed Spot Length is set to yes, a 20-second spot cannot be booked on a face using a 10-second loop template.

Variable Spot Length Allows each spot to have a different length. A minimum length, maximum length, and increment multiplier can be specified.
Maximum Content Duration Controls how much of each type of Content can be sold, and how much Floating Editorials should be used to fill up the loop if not enough Editorial Content has been booked.
