Note: Windows Installer Certificate Notice

When installing Broadsign Control Administrator and Broadsign Control Player on versions 15.13.8+, Windows may display a security warning related to our updated software certificate.

This is expected during the Windows certificate trust process while the new certificate establishes its reputation with Microsoft. The warning is expected to disappear over time as the certificate becomes more widely recognized by Windows systems.

If the warning appears during installation:

  1. Click More info on the Windows security message.
  2. Confirm the installer is from Broadsign.
  3. Select Run anyway to continue the installation.

The certificate is valid, and this warning does not affect the installer. If you have any questions about this notification, please do not hesitate to contact services@broadsign.com.

  • [CORE-27414] The Media Compatibility report now accounts for bundle targeting when determining which players each bundle targets and whether they are compatible with those players.
  • [CORE-27817] Replaced the drawing tools for geofencing and selecting display units in the map view to move away from a library that is being deprecated.

  • [CORE-27592] Fixed an issue causing Broadsign Control Administrator to falsely report that the installation is corrupted.

Improved

  • [CORE-27476] Content restrictions on the loop policy will no longer prevent ad copies from being uploaded to a campaign. Broadsign Control Administrator will instead display a warning that some of the content will not play.
  • [CORE-27549] The “prevent download loops” configuration is now the default behaviour for new players with no configuration profile.

  • [CORE-27479] Fixed an issue causing events to not play after they have been renewed if they span over midnight.
  • [CORE-27547] Fixed an issue where cloning a configuration or a display unit would not clone some of the resources used for device controls.

  • [CORE-27266] When a display unit has two overlapping day parts and the one with the highest weight has no content scheduled, Broadsign Control Player would simply play the other day part. This behavior was not reflected in the Loop Snapshot Report generated in Broadsign Control Administrator, causing it to be inaccurate. The Loop Snapshot Report now accounts for this case.

  • [CORE-27560] Campaigns created through Guaranteed Campaigns (Broadsign Direct) now display a warning beside the Rebook button, informing users that rebooked campaigns will no longer be managed by Guaranteed Campaigns (Broadsign Direct) and may not perform as expected.

Improved

  • [CORE-27231] Broadsign Control Administrator can now be used to configure a player with version 15.13.0 or later to automatically pull statistical audience data from Guaranteed Campaigns (Broadsign Direct) without manual configuration. See Statistical Audience from Guaranteed Campaign.
  • [CORE-27310] Broadsign Control Administrator now displays an error message if it fails to contact the scheduling service during campaign creation.
  • [CORE-27399] Broadsign Control Administrator now displays an error message if moving a container fails because it contains too many resources.
