Leader and Follower Players

Leader Player

A Sync Group requires a Leader player. The Leader is the one broadcasting orders, while multiple Follower players listen and react to these broadcasts.

This self-adjusting group is used to overcome network timing issues.

When a group of players is organized into a sync group, the players self configure this relationship. There is no way for users to assign Leader and Followers or tell them apart. The process of determining the Leader player is automatic: digital schedulers do not need to identify which player is the Leader and which are the Followers.

OpenSplash, the tool for configuring players, is used to manage player settings.
