Download Report
Download Report
The Download report shows the download activity of one or more players, edge servers or display units.
To generate the download report:
Use one of the following methods:
-
Go to the Operations ribbon, and then select the Download Player icon.
Note: You can also generate download reports for display units or edge servers. Click on the arrow at the bottom of the Download Player icon. From the drop-down menu, select Download Display Unit or Download Edge Server. See the Download Report icon.
-
From the resource tabs on the left, select Display Units, Edge Servers or Players. Then right-click anywhere in the list panel. From the contextual menu, select Download Report.
The report shows the result of all downloads performed by that resource in the last fourteen days; each ad copy requested will be counted as a successful download once Broadsign Server is able to send the requested ad copy in its entirety.
Each transfer listed shows the name and resource ID of the downloaded ad copy, along with the time the download began and its current status. The listing also lists the source of the download, either the server or an edge server.
In addition, downloads of external source ad copies are reported by the player back to Broadsign Server and can be viewed in the Download report.
To generate the batch download report, go to the Operations ribbon, and select the arrow at the bottom of the Download Player report. From the drop-down menu, select Download Batch.
First, select the batch of ad copies and then optionally target the report to a specific network branch. The report will work out if the ad copies are currently scheduled to the selected players and then cross-reference that against their download history. The report will present a summary of all players, how many ad copies were scheduled, how many downloaded and which ad copies are missing. You can use this report to take corrective action if necessary.
Note: The batch download report is limited to 31 days of download history. If a selected ad copy was downloaded more than 31 days ago, this report will show it as not having been downloaded.
