Screen List

Note: This page describes the new Digital Line Item flow. For the previous flow, see Screen Inventory (Obsolete).

The Screen List section of the Create Digital Line Item page displays a list of all screens and screen groups on your network. You can narrow down the list when creating a digital line item).

Column Description
Selection

Indicates if you have selected the screen or screen group from the filtered list. Selected screens or screen groups will appear in the Campaign Builder (see Summary Panel).
Address The physical address of the screen. It has been entered by your scheduling team. For more information, see Submit your Company Information to Broadsign.
Availability

Within the limits of the flight duration details you entered, the Availability column indicates the availability for campaign creation:

  • Available (Green): The screen is fully available to book.

  • Partial (Blue): The screen is partially available to book.

  • Unavailable (Amber): The screen is unavailable to book.

The Availability column shows icons next to the availability state that identify factors affecting a screen's availability.

Hover over an icon to view a tool tip that explains the underlying reason(s). A single screen can be affected by one or a combination of these factors.

  • Blocking Schedule – An inactivity event is scheduled during the selected time period.
  • Other Warnings – The screen has another type or warning, or has several warnings. A warning could be that the screen has is scheduled to go live on [date].

Note: It is possible for a screen to exist in your inventory, but be down for construction, for example.
Avg Availability

The average number of integer ‘slots’ available for booking for the selected flight duration. Slots must be fully available to be counted. For example, given a two-week flight duration, if there is no availability during the first week and one screen or screen group (slot) is available in the second week, the Avg Availability value will be 0 even if there is partial availability in the Availability column.

Buyer Facing Name

A short and descriptive name of the screen or screen group (location, specialty, etc.). This is the name given when updating the screen inventory (see Quick Screens Inventory Update or Bulk Screens Inventory Update). It must be unique.

Example: Times Square Screen
Go-live Date Date when the screen or screen group is available to be sold. It is the starting date of the first Day Part as configured in our Content and Network Management solution.
Impressions

The number of impressions that the screen will deliver for the specified goal and dates. If this is a screen group, this is the sum of the impressions for all the screens in the group.

If a screen has a fixed slot duration value, this value will not affect the dwell impressions calculation method, but it is taken into account when calculating the prorated impressions for that screen.
Lat/Long

Geographical coordinates in decimal degrees.

This value is set at the Display Unit level in our Content and Network Management solution.
Max Availability

Depending on your selected goal, the system shows one of the following:

  • Frequency – The maximum number of slots that can be booked for the selected flight duration.
  • Impressions – The maximum number of impressions available for the selected flight duration.
  • Plays – The maximum number of plays available for the selected flight duration.
  • Share of Voice – The maximum percentage of share available for the selected flight duration.
  • Takeover – The maximum percentage of share available for the selected flight duration.
Name

The screen’s name. This is the internal screen name given when updating the screen inventory (see Quick Screens Inventory Update or Bulk Screens Inventory Update).
Occupancy

The Occupancy column indicates the percentage of time that the screen is occupied for the flight duration you set, influenced by factors like the chosen Ad Duration, Flight, and Type of Buy. If you click the percentage value, you are brought to the Fill Rate Details table, which lists the line items associated with the screen.

The Occupancy column highlights screens or screen groups with potential scheduling conflicts due to blocking day parts, signifying partial or complete unavailability. To assist in identifying screens with potential delivery risks, users have the option to sort them based on their Occupancy, facilitating more informed decision-making during proposal creation.

For example, an Occupancy of 80% indicates that the screen is open for bookings for 20% of the time, while the remaining 80% might be reserved due to factors like blocking day parts or pre-existing bookings.

Orientation Indicates the screen’s orientation: portrait or landscape.
Plays

The number of plays that the screen will deliver for the specified goal and dates. If this is a screen group, this is the sum of the plays for all the screens in the group.
Reference Id Reference ID for the screen as entered by the Publisher, if available.
Resolution Indicates the screen’s resolution.
Slot Duration

The predetermined amount of time allocated for a specific purpose within the loop. The following information is displayed:

  • The Default loop slot duration of the Loop Policy as defined in our Content and Network Management. For more information, see Create a Loop Policy in the Content and Network Management documentation.
  • The Loop slot duration type (Fixed or Flexible) of the Loop Policy as defined in our Content and Network Management. For more information, see Duration Tab in the Content and Network Management documentation

Customize Columns

Select which columns to display in the Screen List table, and the order in which they are displayed.

You can use the Screen Availability menu to filter your screens list according to their status in the Availability column.

You can decide to display one of the following:

  • Screens that are 100% Available
  • Screens that are Unavailable (0%)
  • Screens within a Custom Range of availability

Automatic Selection of Digital Inventory

Guaranteed Campaigns

The Auto Select feature allows you to select the most available inventory that matches the targeting applied for the search.

Enter the number of screens to auto select in the Screens Selected field. The results are ordered as follows:

  1. Most available
  2. Lowest occupancy prior to the selection
  3. Screen Name

When screen groups are available, the system follows specific rules when selecting screens from available groups:

  • When screen groups exist, the system bases its screen selection on the total number of screens each group contains, prioritizing fulfillment of the requested quantity.
  • If grouping constraints prevent the selection of the exact requested quantity, the system may select a slightly higher number of screens.

If you enter a new quantity, it replaces the current selection by the new one.

Being able to know how many screens the selected products include is valuable as well, even though they do not aim to cherry-pick screens individually.

Even if you use automatic selection, you can still manually select or deselect screens or automatically select additional screens. You can also use Filters to narrow down the list of available screens from which to auto-select.

Creating a campaign through automatic selection of inventory adds the automatically selected inventory to a Line Item.

Automatic selection can be used with all Types of buy.

Scenarios

Let's say, for example, that you specify in the Auto Select field that you want to auto-select 20 items. The following scenarios are possible:

Scenario 1:

Items available:

  • Group A: 10 screens
  • Group B: 10 screens
  • Group C: 10 screens

Result:

  • Selected items: A, B
  • Total screens: 20

The system selects the first two groups, which meet the 20 screens required.

Scenario 2:

Items available:

  • Group A: 10 screens
  • Group B: 9 screens
  • Group C: 10 screens

Result:

  • Selected items: A, B, C
  • Total screens: 29

The system selects the three groups, because the total of 20 screens is not achieved with the first two groups.

Scenario 3:

Items available:

  • Group A: 10 screens
  • Screen 1: 1 screen
  • Screen 2: 1 screen
  • Group B: 10 screens

Result:

  • Selected items: A, 1, 2, B
  • Total screens: 22

The system selects all groups to achieve the total of 20 screens.

Scenario 4:

Items available:

  • Group A: 10 screens
  • Screen 1: 1 screen
  • Screen 2: 1 screen
  • Group B: 9 screens
  • Group C: 23 screens

Result:

  • Selected items: A, 1, 2, B
  • Total screens: 22

The system selects the first four groups to achieve the total of 20 screens.

In the Screen List section of the Create Digital Line Item page, screen groups are represented with a blue chip icon that shows the number of screens in the group.

Screen Groups

The number in the chip represents the number of screens in that group. You can click the blue chip to open a window that will list all screens of the group.

Screen Groups List

When you select a screen group, each screen in the group counts as one in the Screens Selected field.

You can download the face list details to a CSV file by clicking the button. You can Download All faces in the list or only Download Selected faces.
