Ordering Spots Manually with Booking Lines

Loops are assembled automatically based on what has been booked by different digital schedulers have scheduled in your company's Broadsign Ayuda deployment, combined with non-booked editorials, fillers and business rules such as category separations.

This allows for great flexibility and scalability, but sometimes it is necessary to have manual control over portions of the loop to ensure that some Designs play in a specific order. For example, a cough syrup advertiser might be interested in playing right after a design showing the week’s weather predictions.

Booking Lines feature can manually order spots by assigning first a Grouping Category and then a Grouping Order.

Order Spots Manually

  1. From within the campaign record, click the Segments tab in the navigation bar on the left.
  2. Locate the digital pack or digital face that contains the booking line needing manual ordering of spots. It may be necessary to use the buttons to reveal the item.
  3. Click the icon.
  4. This opens the booking line for editing.

  5. Enter a Grouping Category for the designs that must follow each other.
  6. Any content with the same Grouping Category – as long as it has been scheduled to play on the same Digital Face at the same time – will be grouped together and play back-to-back as part of the loop.

All of the designs that must be ordered manually must share the same Grouping Name.

The Grouping Order number determines in which order they should play: the smaller numbers will play first.

Any number can be assigned. Enter a grouping order number for each design in the Grouping Category.

  7. Click Save changes.

In Detail

If a design often has to be followed or to follow other designs, it could be assigned a grouping order of 100, and any design that should play before simply needs to be assigned any smaller number, while any design that should follow the weather must have a number larger than 100 assigned. We also recommend numbers in the 100's as it allows for other designs to be fit in between, should they need to, with adding 50s such as 150 would play between 100 and 200.

Any content with the same grouping category – as long as it has been scheduled to play on the same digital face at the same time – will be grouped together and play back-to-back as part of the loop. The grouping order number determines in which order they should play: the smaller numbers play first.
