Design Digital Media Properties

This category of information sets the default width, height, duration and playback volume for digital media.

Property Description
Playback These settings are for playbacks that are not associated with campaigns. These may be referred to as unbooked playbacks. This is used for filler content typically.
Allow Unbooked Playback

Modify this setting with caution.

  • Advertising – For advertising content, allow unbooked content cannot be enabled.
  • Filler – For filler content, allow unbooked playback cannot be disabled.
  • Editorial – It may be checked or unchecked depending your deployment. Enabling allow unbooked content lets digital schedulers treat the uploaded content as filler operationally; however, this content will appear in the Editorial section of Splash and not the Filler section.
Valid From / To Sets date ranges and times during which the design may be scheduled.
Do Not Play Enabling this prevents playback of the content. It may still be scheduled and even downloaded to the player, just not shown until this setting is changed.
Disable Player Transitions The player may be set to fade between designs. This setting disables transitions and forces a hard cut.
Force Full Screen This sets the default view of this design to the full screen. In some cases, the full native resolution of the screen may be larger than the player's settings for that digital face.

Forward and Store

These settings obtain digital design elements from an external FTP site.

Third Party Ad Tag

Third party providers may run their own remote ad servers. The default is none.

Skip Spot If Tag Is Empty – If the ad server does not return an ad, this check box decides what will happen. If not enabled, then the graphic that is in this design file is presented in its stead. If this check box is enabled, then the expected remote ad is skipped.
