Amend Line Items
Note: Only users with the Admin or Direct Sales Admin role
This page describes how to amend the following individual line items:
- Digital line items of any type of buy.
- Static line items.
Note: Dynamic Screen Selection line items cannot be amended.
Note: If an external system manages the campaign, it is possible that your external system's business rules have locked editing and amending the line item.
To amend a line item, it must have one of the following status:
- Held
- Submitted
- Booked
- Live
If the line item has the Saved (Draft) status, you will be able to edit it.
When amending line items, you can perform the following modifications:
- Modify the name of the line item.
- Modify the start date (except for live line items).
- Modify the end date.
- Add or remove screens or faces.
- Adjust the price of the line item
Note: If digital screens in a campaign have fixed slot duration values, these values are taken into account when amending the campaign. For more information, see Screens and Fixed Slot Duration.
Tip: It is possible to amend Booked and Live line items in the Guaranteed Campaigns module. However, you must notify your Content and Network Management Operations team to review the schedule. For more information, see Schedules in the Content and Network Management documentation.
To amend a line item:
Guaranteed Campaigns
- Edit a Guaranteed Campaign.
- In the Campaign Builder, go to the line item that you want to amend.
- Click the Amend button of the line item.
- Digital selection – The Amend Digital Line Item window opens and you can select or deselect screens.
- Static selection – The Amend Static Line Item window opens and you can select or deselect faces.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- Add or remove screens or faces (exclude packages). See Create a Digital Line Item and Create a Static Line Item.
- Change the start date and flight duration of a digital line item. See Create a Digital Line Item.
- Extend or reduce the flight duration of a static line item. See Step 3 – Set the Flight Information.
- Extend or reduce the flight duration of a Live line item (cannot change start date).
The End Date cannot be in the past.
The Campaign Builder performs an availability check with the screens that are selected. The check is performed only on the changes that you have made, that is, it checks the delta between what was already held or booked and what you have amended. For example, if you have a selection that is Partially available, and you extend the flight duration by another week, the availability check is done on the added week. If the selection is available during that added week, the status will not be Partially available, but Available. For more information, see Availability Check Feature.
Asynchronous Amendment allows you to request campaign amendments even while existing bookings or rebalancing operations are still in progress.
With Asynchronous Amendments, you can submit amendment requests and continue working without interruption. The system intelligently queues amendment requests, processes them in the correct order, and executes them asynchronously, similar to how bookings are handled.
If an amendment fails, an email notification is automatically sent to both the campaign creator and owner with details of the failure.
Why it matters:
- Improved flexibility and workflow efficiency
- No more waiting on long-running booking or rebalancing tasks
- Much faster performance during large bookings
- Clear visibility and notifications if something goes wrong
With Shared Goals, multiple lines can contribute toward a single delivery goal. You can amend contributing lines in the same way as standard lines. You can update attributes such as flight dates and screen selection while keeping the line attached to the shared goal. The system automatically accounts for these changes and ensures the shared goal continues to be delivered correctly.
This capability improves flexibility when managing shared goals, reduces the need for disruptive campaign changes, and allows teams to adapt campaigns more easily as requirements evolve.
