Use the Saturation Freeze Feature
This page describes how to freeze the saturation on all the screens selected from the date that you pick in the calendar.

Guaranteed Campaigns
You can use the Campaign Builder to turn the Saturation Freeze option on or off for line items of any status except Ended. When the feature is on, it freezes the saturation on all the screens selected from the date that you pick in the calendar.
- By default, tomorrow's date is selected.
- Valid dates are the dates set for the line item.
- No past dates are allowed.
When the Saturation Freeze option is on, the line item cannot be rebalanced or reallocated.
The Saturation Freeze feature can be used with the following types of buy:
- Daily Average Share of Voice
- Daily Average per screen Share of Voice
- Campaign Average Share of Voice
- Impressions Goal
- Budget Goal
- Play Goal
Saturation freeze can be used with Manual Screen Selection and Dynamic Screen Selection line items. The behavior slightly differs.
An Admin can enable the Saturation Freeze option in the Guaranteed Settings.
Note: Guaranteed Campaigns settings are available only to users assigned the Admin or Direct Sales Admin role.
To enable Saturation Freeze:
- Access the Settings page.
- In the Guaranteed tab, click Digital Inventory.
- In the Saturation Freeze section of the Rebalancing & Reallocation part, enable or disable the Saturation Freeze.
Saturation freeze can be used with Manual Screen Selection and Dynamic Screen Selection line items.
To use the Saturation Freeze feature with a Manual Screen Selection line item:

- Edit a Guaranteed Campaign.
- In the Campaign Builder, go to the line item for which you want to change the Saturation Freeze setting.
- Select the Saturation Freeze option in the Freeze Dates field.
- Pick a freeze date and click Apply.
To use the Saturation Freeze feature with a Dynamic Screen Selection line item:
Guaranteed Campaigns
- Edit a Guaranteed Campaign.
- In the Campaign Builder, go to the line item for which you want to change the Saturation Freeze setting.
- Select an option in the Freeze Dates field.
- No Freeze Dates – No freeze is applied.
- Screen Freeze – This option is available for the Frequency and Fixed SoV types of buy. It freezes the screen(s) selected as part of a Dynamic Screen Selection line item from the date selected in the calendar. Before that date, screens can be swapped; however, no further swaps can be made from that date on. The saturation of each screen can be changed for that screen only within the same day.
- Screen & Saturation Freeze – This option is available only for the Average Share of Voice line items, because they have a variable saturation when moving between screens. It freezes both the screens and their saturation.
- Pick a freeze date and click Apply.
