Static Data Import
The Static Data Import tool allows you to import core data automatically into your dedicated Broadsign domain Static database. With this data, you can then properly use the Static Campaigns module.
You can access the Static Data Import information by clicking the Static Data Import link in the navigation bar. The Static Data Import list is displayed.
Note: The Static Data Import page is available to users with the Admin, Static Admin, or Static Campaign Manager role. See User Permissions for more information.
The Static Data Import page lists the data type information available in your domain. The page allows you to import different types of core data automatically into your dedicated Broadsign domain Static database.

The Static Data Import page allows you to import core data for the following data types:

Static Campaigns
- Divisions – Divisions are used to indicate internal corporate units for your company. See Create and Edit Divisions.
- Area Levels – The Area Levels creation is mandatory in the system to assign them to Assets. They are part of the setup for Sales Markets. See Area.
- Sales Markets – Sales markets are groups of geographic areas. See Manage Sales Markets.
- Areas - The Area is the lowest-level in an Area Hierarchy. See Area.
- Media Groups – Each customer has a different hierarchy of media groups. These are used to organize the inventory of assets into logical groups.
- Sites – A Site refers to the civic address where the media is located. Faces are the installation points at the site. A Site is one of two mandatory hierarchy levels for assets, the other one being a Face. See Work with Sites.
- Vehicles – Vehicles are part of an Area Hierarchy. See Asset Hierarchies.
- Faces – A Face represents the advertising surface. A Face is one of two mandatory hierarchy levels for assets, the other one being a Site. See Work with Faces.
- Advertisers – Clients or companies available for use in the Broadsign Platform. See Add an Account.
- Agencies – Firms that create and are responsible for overall planning and of the advertising campaign. See Add Agency and Commission and Add an Account.
The following are the features of the Static Data Import section interface:
- Download Log File: If an upload fails, click the Download Log File button to get the error logs for that import. For more details, see Download Log File.
- Update Static Data: Update your static data by clicking the Update Static Data button for the corresponding data type. For more details, see Update Static Data.
If an upload fails, click the Download Log File button to get the error logs for that import.
The log file displays the following information:
- The type of issue, for example, Duplicate entries or Invalid data.
- The data input that caused the issue.
- The time stamp for the last attempt of each data type. If no attempt has been made yet, no time stamp is included.
