This page outlines how Place Exchange users can share custom reports and Looks across different orgs using Looker. This is useful when you want to distribute the same dashboard or Look to multiple publishers or clients without recreating them from scratch.

To share reports across orgs:
Place Exchange
- Go to the Advanced Analytics and navigate to where your report currently exists.
- Click on the three-dot menu next to the dashboard or Look.
- Select Move or Copy.
- In the folder selector modal, navigate to: Embed Users → [Target Org Folder].
- Choose the correct org-specific folder and complete the move or copy.
Note: You must peat this process manually for each org. There is no “bulk copy” option in the UI.
I can't see the "Embed Users" folder when copying/moving
This is a common issue and can be fixed easily.
Solution:
- Navigate to All Folders → Embed Users.
- Click the gear icon next to the Embed Users folder.
- Select Set as Default Folder.
Once this is done, the folder will be visible in the move/copy modal.
Also ensure that:
- You have the required permissions to view and edit the Embed Users folder.
- You are not in a restricted Looker environment.
Can I copy a report to all orgs at once?
No. You must manually copy the report to each org folder.
Can this process be automated?
Not via UI. Looker’s API could be explored for automation.
Test the report in one org folder first to validate filters and access.
